• La iniciativa une al sector privado y a Turismo para fortalecer la imagen de la República Dominicana

SANTO DOMINGO.- El presidente Luis Abinader asistió este martes al lanzamiento de una producción exclusiva del destacado artista Juan Luis Guerra, con el propósito de impulsar la imagen de la República Dominicana y que forma parte de la campaña Marca País.

La iniciativa del Gobierno junto al sector privado, busca contribuir con el posicionamiento del país como destino turístico, a propósito de la reapertura del sector que se lleva  a cabo a través del Ministerio de Turismo.

El mandatario, que estuvo acompañado por la primera dama, Raquel Arbaje y la vicepresidenta de la República, Raquel Peña, valoró el aporte de Juan Luis Guerra y el sector privado.

“Hoy que el turismo mundial se ha visto igualmente pateado, por la crisis provocada por la pandemia, llenos de orgullo recibimos con los brazos abiertos, este invaluable aporte que nos hace uno de los grandes hijos de nuestra Patria, Juan Luis Guerra”, expresó.

Abinader resaltó el compromiso del artista con el pueblo dominicano, al tiempo de indicar que con este gesto de colaborar de manera desinteresada se pone a disposición de su país.

Dijo que “Juan Luis representa lo mejor de nuestra dominicanidad. Ha sido sin duda alguna, uno de los grandes embajadores de todo lo bueno que nuestro país tiene por ofrecer.”

El gobernante destacó la grandeza de los dominicanos en momentos de crisis, la generosidad y unidad del pueblo.

“A pesar de que la pandemia parece haber provocado un caos repentino, acciones como las que protagoniza hoy Juan Luis, nos invitan a soñar en un mejor mañana, que solo será posible si lo construimos todos juntos”, significó.

Agradeció a los representantes del sector privado por sus continuos aportes al país, y por poner en favor del país, no solo recursos económicos, sino también su tiempo, sus ideas y su capacidad.

De su lado, David Collado, ministro de Turismo, expresó que “esta iniciativa nos llena de orgullo, no sólo porque viene a contribuir con el trabajo que venimos desarrollando para fortalecer la imagen de nuestro país y relanzar la economía nacional, sino porque contamos con el apoyo de un artista como Juan Luis Guerra, cuya imagen y trayectoria ponen en alto a República Dominicana en todo el mundo”.

Ligia Bonetti, coordinadora del sector privado para la Comisión Multisectorial Marca País, recordó que uno de los pilares de esta iniciativa es la cultura.

Significó que “es un compromiso compartir los valores de la Marca País, y así, con sentido de orgullo y de pertenencia, con el cariño y la alegría que contagian a todos, aquí y en todo el mundo, con lo mejor que tiene nuestra República Dominicana.”

La actividad se realizó en el Hotel Embajador bajo estrictas medidas de distanciamiento social y estuvieron presentes Eduardo Estrella, presidente del Senado; Alfredo Pachecho, presidente de la Cámara de Diputados; el expresidente de la República, Hipólito Mejía; Milagros Ortíz Bosch, directora de Ética e Integridad Gubernamental; Milagros Germán, directora de Comunicaciones de la Presidencia; Frank Rainieri, presidente del Grupo Punta Cana y Paola Rainieri, presidenta de la Asociación Nacional de Hoteles y Restaurantes (Asonahores).
